About Me

Hi! My name is Hannah Moran and I am the founder of Hannah Moran studio. My background in psychology taught me each brushstroke tells a story. Art can change a person’s perspective forever. My passions led me to graduate from Adelphi University, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a second major in Studio Art. After graduation, I had the opportunity to travel to Europe and experience art I always dreamed of seeing. I traveled from Rome to Paris via Florence, Zurich, and Colmar. From the massive strength of Michelangelo’s David to the tranquility of the Monet Panels, each piece I experienced further intensified my enthusiasm for art and my desire to learn more. As a child my fascination with painted ballerinas, water lilies and sunflowers motivated and inspired me to be curious and creative. As an adult, seeing art and creating my own works inspires me to create experiences for people of every age for explore their own creativity, have fun and pursue their passions. From silly paint night to more formal painting sessions my goal as educator is to promote fun moments that teach us all to slow down and enjoy the moment. As an artist I explore moments of joy, tranquility and stillness. As a therapist I encourage my clients to use their art as a language of communication. I have seen the impact art and creative practices has on people of various backgrounds, cultures and ages and I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to share art with people every day. I am currently attending Long Island University and will be graduating in December with a Master of Arts in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling.
