Biography

Hannah Moran is an artist who lives and works in New York. She has obtained her  Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Studio Art at Adelphi University. She is currently enrolled at Long Island University where she is obtaining a Master of Arts in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling.  Her professional artworks focus on landscapes, animals, and reflective surfaces. Her paintings challenge everyday experiences by highlighting forgotten or mundane moments and natural abstraction within the landscape or interior space.


Hannah Moran was a recent recipient of the Thomas McAnulty Scholarship and has
received the Dean’s Scholarship from Adelphi University. Additionally, Moran is a recipient of a high honors award from Adelphi University and graduated, Summa Cum Laude. With her background in psychology, Moran has conducted self-directed research into the unconscious mind through the creation and analysis of artwork. She found that art can be an incredible bridge into the unconscious mind. As a graduate student she is currently conducting research into the implementation of artistic practices as a tool to prevent burnout and pronlong career longevity for athletes. 

 

Moran has participated in the Junior Showcase (2021) and the Scholarship and Creative Works Conference (2021). She completed her Senior Thesis Exhibition at Adelphi University (2022). She has previously exhibited her works at Islip Art Counci l (2023, 2024) and Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts (2023). Furthermore, Hannah Moran has exhibited at the Steinberg Museum (2025). Moran shares her passion for art and creativity with others through teaching a variety of art classes and workshops.
